Ranch Pie Cooked in a Dutch Oven

Dutch Oven Ranch Pie
Ingredients
For the Ranch Pie
- 20g Dried Porcini Mushrooms
- 1Tbs Oil
- 1kg Left Over Brisket cit to a small dice
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 1 Chopped Garlic Clove
- 1 Cup Frozen Peas
- 1 Beef Cube
- 2 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 350g Beef Gravy
- 600g Mashed Potato
- 200g Cheddar Cheese
Equipment Used
- Joy Stove
- Medium Dutch Oven
Directions
- Cover the Porcini Mushrooms with hot water
- Cut the Beef Brisket in to a 6mm (1/4 Inch) Dice
- Add the oil to a small Dutch Oven
- Add the Onions to the Dutch Oven and cook until they are just turning translucent. Do not brown
- Add the Garlic and cook for a further minute
- Add the Brisket
- Add the Peas
- Sprinkle the Beef Cube over the mixture and stir in
- Add the Salt & Pepper
- Add the Beef Gravy and cook for 20 minutes
- Cover the meat mixture with the Mashed Potato and spread out evenly
- Sprinkle the Cheese on top evenly
- Put the Dutch Oven Lid on and add hot Coals
- Cook for about 30 minutes until Cheese has melted and turned brown.
